Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a marketing tool you can use to favorably affect the visibility of your website or a web page in an internet search engine's unpaid "natural" results.  Generally, you will receive more visitors to your site the higher it is ranked on the search results page, and the more frequently it appears in the search results list.

This lesson introduces you to the Yoast SEO plugin as a tool to optimize your website for SEO.  The Yoast SEO plugin is already installed on your e-Business for Entrepreneurs course site! Yoast has done a very good job with creating default user settings that apply to most sites, and is thus ready for you to use. Your job is to work through all the non-green notifications to get to an all-green status.
